While there is a "World Day" for almost everything, today, World Mental Health Day feels particularly significant and worthy of attention. Mental health problems are one of the main causes of disease burden worldwide. Approximately one in four people will experience a mental health problem each year and one in six reports experiencing one of the most common problems such as anxiety and depression, in any given week. Today is about the recognition that you have the power to create an environment for your own personal mental health that feels healthy, sustainable, and fulfilling – just as much as you would do with your physical health, and to feel more okay to start a conversation about it. I am humbled by my journey in the mental health field and eager to bring awareness, if you or someone you know feels as though you/they need help in any way please feel comfortable enough to reach out, if not to us, to someone.

Consider meditating on Psalm 139:13-18, which reminds us that the way that we are wired is not an accident. You were planned for a purpose.
