Do you feel like you’re just trying to catch your breath or don’t know which way to turn? My passion is supporting individuals regain a sense of calm and direction. Hi my name is Jennifer and I’m here to help you find peace in the moment so you can thrive in your pursuits.
I work with clients in managing anxious and depressive states that accompany major life transitions. Life can feel overwhelming when faced with: new responsibilities as a young adult, becoming a parent, re-entering the workforce or switching careers, ending a relationship, aging and hormonal transitions or grieving loss. Together we can embrace the overwhelm and find your compass.
I am especially passionate about helping clients struggling with low self-esteem and identity development. I help clients kick self-doubt to the curb and practice self-affirming thought patterns so they can approach life confidently and authentically.
My approach to wellness is from a holistic perspective. With the help of evidence based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy; I empower clients with skills to regulate their emotions and tolerate distress.
I also utilize Art Therapy and Somatic Therapy techniques such as: music, writing, art, dream work and movement with clients. This allows folks to express their thoughts and emotions when they sometimes can’t find the right words. It also allows for us to go deeper into unresolved conflict by tapping into the unconscious and releasing trauma stored in the body. I’m here to guide you through this expression and heal in a safe space so you can transcend into a more integrated self.
I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wyoming and I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University New England.
