Angela Whitaker

Hi, my name is Angela Whitaker. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Counselor Education at Longwood University. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University, and have spent the majority of my career teaching students of all ages in the U.S. as well as overseas. I have decided to pursue a different career path, and it is through my wonderful graduate program and internship that I am gaining the experience needed to work in the mental health field as well as to become certified as an LPC.

I have a passion and drive for helping others, and I believe that no one should have to suffer in silence. I use a combination of a person centered approach as well as emotion-focused, meeting clients where they are, while guiding and targeting their specific goals. I am excited to assist you on your journey to healing.
