Shamber Garrett

Hi there! My name is Shamber Garrett, and I am a Resident in counseling. I have experience working with adults and youth who struggle with trauma, anxiety, OCD, and depression. I also have intimate knowledge of the military and first responder communities and the unique challenges they face. I am passionate about working with people and helping them get to where they want to be.

I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Saint Leo’s University and my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I believe in working with an integrative practice; one that meets you where you are and uses various orientations to ensure the best working relationship. I use a range of therapeutic theories such as cognitive behavioral therapy, unconditional positive regard, and acceptance and commitment therapy.

I am extremely passionate about helping you live the best and most fulfilling life possible. I understand how each person is shaped by their lived experience and am dedicated to creating a comfortable and empathetic space for my clients to process their stories and grow. Finding the right therapist can be anxiety-provoking and stressful. I promise to always meet you in a comforting, non-judgmental way to help provide you with a safe space to share. I look forward to working with you and starting this process together.
