THERAPEUTIC COUNSELING & CONSULTING
Sydney Villeneuve
LPC
Clinical Supervisor; Therapist
As a depth-oriented, eclectic clinician and supervisor, I approach supervision as a relational space for reflection, growth, and integration. My clinical background spans from acute to long-term inpatient psychiatric care, residential and intensive outpatient addiction recovery, community based rehabilitation, intensive in-home services, and experience in detention center programs and day treatment programs. I bring a perspective shaped by supporting individuals from their developmental years of life to the elders of our communities.
These experiences inform a supervision style that is grounded, compassionate, and attuned to the deeper layers of clinical work. I’m dedicated to helping Residents develop confidence in their therapist identity, and grow into their clinical niche, while staying connected to and inspired by their professional purpose. Supervision should be both a container and a catalyst—a space guiding residents as they cultivate expertise and embody this role with intuition and intention.

Feeling Valuable and Unworthy
When talking about self-esteem and self-worth, the terms are often used interchangeably, when in actuality they impact the way we see ourselves quite differently. So, what is the difference and how do they each feel?
Self-esteem is how you feel towards the way you outwardly deliver yourself and how you are received by others. It is perceived from more of a bird's-eye view, from first impressions to your felt successes and achievements. Our relationship with our self-esteem is experienced by how we feel about our outer, most-perceived self, or the way we introduce ourself to the world.
