Intern

Hello! My name is Carley Harrison. I am a Qualified Mental Health Professional trainee working with both adults and children. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Biology, from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling at VCU, with a goal of obtaining LPC licensure upon completion of the program.

I am committed to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care to individuals navigating life’s challenges. I believe healing happens in a safe, collaborative space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered throughout your journey. My approach to counseling is integrative, drawing from Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. This allows me to tailor my approach to each person’s unique story, strengths, and needs. I support clients in understanding how their past experiences and beliefs shape their current patterns, while also helping them develop practical strategies for change and growth.

I honor each client’s cultural identity and lived experiences, striving to create an inclusive environment where all parts of you are welcome--and where healing is guided by curiosity, compassion, and respect.

Whether you are processing trauma, navigating relationships, facing anxiety or depression, or seeking deeper self-understanding, I am here to walk alongside you with openness and intention.
