Hello, I'm Kelly Smith (they/them).  With over three decades of experience in the mental health field, I bring both depth of clinical expertise and a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to my work. I am originally from upstate NY. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Syracuse University and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia, New York, Washington, and California. In addition to my clinical work, I am a qualified supervisor in both mental health and substance use, mentoring and supporting other clinicians in their professional growth.

As a member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, I am passionate about providing an affirming and inclusive space for all clients. I work with individuals and couples, helping them navigate life transitions, relational challenges, identity exploration, and the healing of past trauma. My therapeutic style is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Prolonged Exposure.

Together, we’ll identify the tools and insights that best support your unique goals and needs. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology through the International Institute of Clinical Sexology and completing board certifications in Comprehensive Gender Counseling and Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis. These advanced studies enhance my work with clients exploring identity, sexuality, and the mind-body connection.

My goal is to create a safe, affirming, and collaborative space where you can explore, heal, and grow. Whether you’re seeking to deepen self-understanding, restore connection, or move through life’s challenges, I’m here to walk alongside you as you create meaningful change and lasting fulfillment.
