Hiya—I’m Kellyn. I’m so glad you’re here. Taking the step to explore therapy (either as a returning client or an entirely new one) is a big one, and it says a lot about your courage and capacity for growth. I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you start or continue your healing and growth journey.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and a graduate of Walden University with a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Over the years, I’ve worked with people navigating a wide range of challenges—life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, chronic illness, trauma, women’s issues, and the everyday stress that can pile up and feel heavy. No matter what brings you to therapy, your experiences and emotions are welcome here.
My approach is integrative and flexible—meaning I meet you where you are and tailor our work to what feels most helpful to you. Sometimes that means using mindfulness or somatic (body-based) practices, other times it’s through open, reflective conversation. My goal is to help you understand your story, shift patterns that no longer serve you, and reconnect with a stronger sense of self-compassion and clarity.
In our sessions, you can expect a balance of depth and lightness. I move between being serious and thoughtful to laughing right alongside you—because therapy can be tough, but it can also be a space where we feel relief, connection, and even joy. I believe in creating a space where all parts of you are welcome, and where you don’t have to have it all figured out. My approach is relaxed and real—I embrace the messiness of being human, and I honor the courage it takes to show up authentically.
If you’re looking for a grounded, creative, and human therapy experience, we might be a great fit. And if you’re unsure about what kind of therapy is right for you, that’s okay too—I’m happy to meet you where you are and explore what works best for you.
